This 1996 Candid debut is a solo album highlighting the prodigious jazz talent of this outstanding artist. It pays tribute to musicians before and features tunes by Lester Young, John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk alongside Jessica's originals - "Serenata," written with Mary Lou Williams in mind, "The Sheikh," written for the King of the walking bass, Leroy Vinnegar and a Monk influenced version of "Nice Work If You Can Get It".
