Notes
Recorded at the Electric Ladyland Studio in New York, the opening, 'Gypsy Queen', sees him and saxophonist Steve Marcus duelling with a percussion line-up three: Roy Haynes, Lawrence Killian and Harry Wilkinson. Bass player Mervin Bronson and Mike Mandel on keyboards complete the personnel for an album which develops the challenging electric modal jazz over the remaining two tracks.
