Its ergonomic control layout allows for quick access to all the functions. This model features a tilting, 3-inch LCD screen that can function as a live electronic viewfinder. It also tilts to allow you to review your pictures in any environment with minimal glare on the screen. You can opt to use the traditional viewfinder on the body for snapping your shots. It has a manually operated 26x zoom lens that covers a focal length of 24-624 millimeters for accurate shots and a minimum 1-centimeter focal distance in super macro mode. The lens features mechanical image stabilization to ensure you get pristine, in-focus images even in the most zoomed position. Among the features usually reserved for professional cameras, this model boasts the ability to shoot photos in both JPEG format and the uncompressed RAW format. This gives you creative control over the final processing of your photos when using a photo editing software on a computer. An ISO range of 100 up to 12800 also ensures a properly exposed shot every time. The camera also features six white balance presets, giving you even more control over the lighting effects of your pictures. With the touch of a button, the film simulation mode allows you to change the overall appearance of your pictures to mimic different Fuji film types such as Velvia, Provia, or traditional black-and-white. The X-S1 can shoot between a full 12-megapixel resolution or a 6-megapixel image in the Low Noise setting for shooting in low lighting without flash. Also included is a Dynamic Range setting that offers five levels of light adjustment ranging from 100% to 1600% to achieve the perfect balance between highlight and shadow. It also has a scene-detecting automatic mode where the camera will choose the best setting for your subject. Enjoy a full 1080p, high-definition movie recording for all your videos with the built-in 2/3-inch EXR CMOS sensor. Using the power of two internal CPUs, it provides powerful video processing within the camera itself. An NP-95 Li-ion battery provides generous battery life, lasting around 460 frames. The Fujifilm X-S1 uses an SD or SDHC card for storage of pictures and movies recorded. An 8GB SDHC card will store between 412 and 11,850 images, depending on the settings used for shooting the photos. The X-S1 comes from the X series of Fujifilm cameras, making it an excellent, highly functional, and versatile camera.
