You can tell by the serial number, which is used for these knock off pedals. The pedal top wrap had air bubbles and did not stick well. I had to clean the pots and stomp switch as pedal was noisy, and knobs were hard to turn. With this said, this pedal has its own unique distortion sound. So, I am going to keep it. Especially at this price. The issues with the pedal are not the seller's fault. All is good. : - )
