Synopsis
This book is about the life and times of David Hamilton . My poetry tells about my love, my hate, my choices and fate, My ups, my downs how God turned me around. My depression and despair and how life seemed so unfair. The twist I put on words, some of the excuses I've heard. My father and mother, sister and brother. How I failed and then succeed and how to want was not considered greed. My life behind bars and how everybody is a star. How I hungered and thirst and how Jesus loved me first. How I felt hatred and so full of rage, How I was made to feel like an animal in a cage. Racism's still here and very much alive. Love can be sweet or sting like bees in a hive. How through it all, I've seen so much. Learned not to listen to gossip and such. Something's they last like levi's and lee's, And some of my poetry wrote in the seventy's. The one thing that's constant, never did change, God's word will forever be true and remain.
