This piece is a true proof, as evidenced by how the plate was placed on the paper- the deckling of the paper on the left side, so close to the edge of the image. As a printmaker myself, I have done this- how I know it is a true “proof.” This was the third piece I have acquired from this seller, and I expect there will be more. I love this artist, and this seller!!

This very fine example of Smith’s astonishing draftsmanship is memorialized in this very unusual yet informational rendering of what appears to be the hood of a lamp, circa WWII, illustrating great details of an electrical device. This piece is rare and unusual, and not for all, but for those who understand this image, as I do. Bravo to this seller!
