These "Battlefront" games feature beautiful battlegrounds, like the ice-covered Hoth or Tatooine and its binary suns. Players can also choose from a wide selection of vehicles to speed around the galaxy in. You will enjoy the stunning split screen modes offered with this game, and with options to play in first- or third-person, there are endless hours of galactic entertainment in this first installment of "Star Wars: Battlefront." This particular "Star Wars: Battlefront" game was developed in 2004 by LucasArts with the series being revived in 2015 by Electronic Arts. A great aspect of this game includes the variety of content to choose from. If you are a fan of single-player campaigns, "Battlefront" has a lot to offer your gaming style. The historic campaign is divided into two sections with one centered around the prequel trilogy and the other around the original trilogy. Each campaign focuses on major battles found in the six movies by George Lucas. The Clone Wars campaign pits Separatist droids against the Galactic Republic in such memorable battles as the Rebellion on Theed and Assault on Kamino. The Galactic Civil War Campaign features Rebel Alliance soldiers in a battle against the feared Galactic Empire. The Battle of Endor and Raid of Hoth are among the noteworthy skirmishes in this campaign. You can choose to control any of the four factions in this "Star Wars" game. Throughout these missions, hero and villain characters from the series will fight alongside your character, including Mace Windu and Darth Vader. When playing these missions, or hopping into a multiplayer match, you can select one of five classes to play. Each class of soldier has its own abilities and weapons. For instance, heavy troopers generally carry rocket launchers and mines, while a basic infantryman utilizes blasters and explosives. Simply pick the class that suits your playstyle the most. The multiplayer skirmishes can be played with up to forty online players, which ensures that each skirmish is chaotic. There are seventeen maps to choose from when playing online plus two basic modes. These modes include Standard Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. Another fun and interesting single-player mode is Galactic Conquest. This mode involves some strategy as you attempt to conquer the galaxy with one of eight playable factions. Another area in which "Star Wars: Battlefront" stands out is with the vehicles and ships included from the movies. AT-ATs, Republic snow speeders, and Republic gunships are just a few examples of the vehicles at your disposal. Given the original 2004 date of "Battlefront," the low system requirements mean that it can be played on a range of computers. If you love action-packed gaming or are a fan of the "Star Wars" universe, "Star Wars: Battlefront" is sure to satisfy.
