It is more than an inch shorter than can fit on it. It may fit some of the old snapper mowers with the 8 hp Engine. It would be good if sellers posted measurements on items like this. So buyers could get a for understanding of what they are purchasing. Other than that, it was a good transaction. I paid a good price, and got it shipped to me in good condition. But it was the wrong part
