However, it was also either damaged in transit, or more likely, by an attempt by someone previously to remove the VFD from the pcb, resulting in pins being torn off the VFD. Might be repairable at a scrape, but more likely now just junk because of that damage. Not a big problem at the price paid, it was worth a punt but would not have been a happy camper otherwise.
