About this product

Product Information

Providing superior performance and efficiency, the Intel SuperMicro X9DAI motherboard offers multiple advantages for your computer. The Intel CPU has a high transfer rate and quickly handles data flow between connected devices. This series produces high-quality designs and a wide range of options for consumers. The X9DAI comes with an Intel dual-port Xeon processor and multiple SATA ports and it has a high memory capacity. It is optimized to work with the New Generation X9 Serverboard Platform. It can effectively handle cloud computing, graphics, enterprise IT, technical computing, and more. Get the most out of your computer with boards equipped to manage all of your personal and professional needs. The Super Micro X9DAI motherboards are specifically designed for servers needing capable hardware.A powerful CPU option, the X9DAI motherboard is intended to be used as an enterprise-class server mobo. It offers impressive capability and options for a robust server machine. The SuperMicro X9DAI can be fitted with two Intel Xeon processors with a large cache and high-speed system bus. This is thanks to a dual-socket LGA 2011. Highly expandable DDR3 RAM, multiple SATA2 and SATA3 links, and 10/100/1000 onboard network controllers ensure scalability for use in busy server environments. The SuperMicro X9DAI can be used to support powerful server hardware in business environments or for the home power user. Multiple useful features are included for ease of use and maintenance. These include PC health monitoring tools and Virtual Machine Device queues to reduce I/O overhead. The Intel SuperMicro X9DAI is an Extended ATX form factor and fits most mid-size or full-size towers and U4 form factors. The dual socket LGA 2011 allows quick processing speed to be used on the X9DAI. This socket supports two Xeon E5-2600 family processors for a total core count of up to 16 with 32 threads. Yet the socket still comes under the Thermal Dynamic Power rating of 150w. This device supports a cache of 30MB and a QTI system bus speed of up to 8 GT/s. Thanks to Intel technology, the SuperMicro X9DAI offers future-proof processing power for future server needs. Sixteen 240-pin DDR3 DIMM RAM slots allow for a maximum total RAM of 516GB. These RAM slots support 1866/1600/1333/1066/800 MHZ ECC DDR 3 SDRAM with DIMM sizes of 32/16/8/4/2/1GB. Such a large maximum RAM allotment allows consistent high-speed availability to the computer's applications. This holds true even under heavy user loads while running multiple processes. This RAM includes error detecting for single-bit and double-bit errors. There are six separate PCI slots, including three PCI Express x16 slots and three PCI Express x8 slots. The Intel onboard devices include support for up to eight SATA2 drives and two SATA3 drives with RAID capability. A RealTek ALC 889 7.1 High Definition Audio card provides onboard sound support. There are four USB 3.0 ports and seven USB 2.0 ports, and the motherboard will support up to eight fans. A suite of computer health monitoring components is included on the unit. Some notable ones are temperature and thermal control. Multiple power configuration modes are available as are SuperDoctor III, Watch Dog, and NMI software.

Board arrived in good time and the server is up and running again. Only problem I've hit is a couple of the USB ports don't work. Not a big deal, however. The important thing was cpu sockets with no pins broken off! :D
