I almost returned it!! Until I figured that it was an analog camcorder which DO NOT Play digital 8mm or Hi8 tapes. However, I had plenty of older analog tapes to digitize, so it all worked very well. This seems to be a common issue based on some of the feedback that I've seen posted. Excellent seller!!
