Upon arrival, the foot joint was totally loose, would fall off the instrument and rendered the instrument unplayable. I took it to a repair shop and had the cork joint repaired. I remember my college pal with a Kung alto recorder had a very bold sound at the bottom end. On this one, the voicing is so bad that it barely plays down there and there are some notes at the high end that require very exact thumbhole and breath combination. Might as well get a cheap plastic Yamaha.
