The truth is stranger, darker, and more evil than anyone can imagine. It involves the cosmic shadow war into which Jack has been drafted. And if the plot behind itmillennia in the planningsucceeds, it will forever change life on this Earth. Those behind that plot will do anything to stop her. But they've made a fatal miscalculation. They don't know about Jack. Like everyone else, they don't know he exists. They think they're hunting defenseless prey.
