The seller's photo of the coins make them appear to be brass or something similar, but the item description does list them as gray. To me, they appear to be a very dark brown, giving them a definite look of being forged from iron. The decorative cord used to display them appears orange in the picture, but it is actually red, which I like a lot better. It took a little extra time to get here, but.... Vintage Edo Japanese coins from long ago - fantastic!

Nice item but zero communication. Paid on same day as offer accepted. After that had to chase for item to be sent and the despatch details. Seller gave no response to questions. More action on seller side including sending messages (and answering messages) would have created a better buying experience.
