After 10 or so minutes in light/moderate rain, water will soak into the jacket. I'm going to treat mine with the silicone waterproofing spray for boots/camping gear, and I think that will improve this a lot. Be gentle with the zippers. I went a size up for my bike posture which is perfect. The fabric doesn't stretch much at all. The hood fits perfectly under my helmet. Not under a helmet it fits really loose.
