    i was expecting a heavier weight cork i.e. more suitable for purse making . Tte lighter weight is more suitable for craft projects.

Please see that I also sell Belagio cork which may be more to you liking for making larger bags. I personally used the mustard cork sold to for small bags and clam-type bags and worked well.
