I installed it in an HP Pavilion 4450 from ~1999 and it works just fine. Slow as all heck compared to the blazing 100 to 500 Mbps speeds of my 5 GHz home wifi, but after some clever programming it does real well receiving files from my Windows 11 computer over my home network. Connects to the internet just fine too, though not much you can do these days on Windows 98SE and Internet Explorer 5.

I was disappointed that the seller shipped this in the OEM box, and not inside an additional box with padding, as the OEM box is no longer clean and unmarked, so the overall value of what I purchased is now reduced. Shipping price also seemed high since there was no outer packaging provided. Also took longer to ship than expected.
