The photos don't show how the cabling exits the back of the pod, so I can tell you that there is a piece of black felt across the back of the cylinder that "hides" the cabling straight out. No option to route the cabling through the side and along the inside of the panel. Seems to be 3D printed, and quite solid. Posted quickly.
