I'm very good at cutting my own bone nuts, but I was curious about using a nylon one. It's working out very well indeed, in spite of the fact that I'm using .011-.050" strings with the Historic Tall nut. The guitar in question is an LP Special double-cut with a Duesenberg Les Trem II. It originally had 1 13/32" string spacing, so I went with that over the .011-.052" version w/1 29/64" spacing. I haven't touched the slots, but there's zero binding and tuning is stable when using the vibrato.

I bought this for a Precision Guitar Kits 58 Junior and even though the headstock angle of the kit is a few degrees different than a Gibson it still fit perfectly like it was handmade for the guitar. Saved me a lot of money installing myself vs getting a custom nylon nut cut by a luthier.

Perfect! It fit my Precision Guitar Kit Les Paul 59' replica, with a little bit of overhang at the edges for adjusting. Thanks!
