In the 25 years since the original Extreme G took place, a certain group of people who hail from the New United Planets is out to overthrow the government's idea of 'extreme' racing. Apparently, the current racing world does not excite them and they want to develop a bigger, better, faster and more extreme racing environment. To this end they built new bikes with those four variables in mind. Because of the excessive speed of their new vehicles, they are under media scrutiny and under the watchful eye of the military. The media has exploited the deaths of those who died on these vehicles and the military wants to accumulate the advanced weaponry of the machines.<br><br>Much like the original game and the Wipeout series, Extreme-G 2 is all about frantic racing and mind-blowing action. Each bike (12 in all) you maneuver moves at blinding speeds. There are also over 40 tracks to compete on. Each is crafted to give the player an extreme rush of adrenaline with twisty curves, cliffs, ramps, etc. On your path to victory lane, you'll also be able to blast away at your opponents since you can pick up all sorts of missiles, rockets, mines and other weapons to hurl at them. Doing this will cause them to wipeout and allow you a chance to take their position.
