    When I spotted this photo on Old Photo Prints site I knew I had to have it. It showcases one that was taken on the 50th anniversary of Naval Aviation! The lead carrier is the USS Independence CVA-62. I served aboard her during the 1970’s with VA-65 Tigers and then in 1979 with VA-176 Thunderbolts! The proudest years of my life. She’s gone now but definitely not forgotten! The shot will hold a spot of honor on my wall. Thanks so very much for this excellent photograph of a great ship.
