It was very inexpensive when compared to other PVRs and you can even us it to receive satellite programs as long as you have a dish pointed at the correct satellite. I think it is very good value but its instructions are very poor and non existent when it comes to recording and play back. Overall I'd give it about a 7 out of 10.

My main concern was that the brightness was significantly darker than the normal TV setting. I tested both HDMI and AV outputs and they had similar darkness issues. The other issue I had was that the unit was physically very tiny.
