Dear Carrie, where did you ever get the idea that this lamp font was cut glass. It is not. It’s an early three mold poured in a mold piece. I was hoping it was a cut glass font because if it was it would have been the only one. I am 83 years old and been collecting since 1955 so I have seen thousands of them. In my collection, I got 150 iron horse lamps so I do know what I am looking at.

Not being an expert, I did deep research on active/sold listings (50+). For example, I saw a pair of lanterns complete with brackets/fonts/hinges that sold for $150 but the fonts were just plain glass. In fact mine was the most detailed of every listing by far. So I would guess that a cut-glass one would sell for much higher than $50. I wish you have asked questions before offering to purchase it. The sale was based on the current eBay market and, therefore, I believe was fair and equitable.
