From China, I mean it came in an unopened box with a "from China" sticker which was then boxed and shipped by Amazon. By fake and counterfeit, I mean that the apparent fossils are recreated by gluing/joining bits of rock together to give the right banded color scheme and then glued/joined ot a larger rock. I've supplied a picture. You can see the seam. Looks OK as long as you don't pick it up and, in particular, look at the bottom.
