The Apple A1224 iMac features an energy-efficient 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with two independent 45 nm Enryn processor cores on a single chip. It has 6MB shared level 2 cache memory. The system bus runs at 1.066 GHz, and the motherboard hosts two RAM slots. 2GB of fast 1.066 GHz PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM memory comes standard, and it can even be expanded to 8GB total. This iMac comes with an installed 320GB Serial ATA hard drive running at 7200 RPM and will support an upgrade to a 640GB or 1TB hard drive or even an SSD drive. The Mac OS X 10.5.6 Lion software comes pre-installed, although the operating system can be upgraded to the 10.11 El Capitan version. From working on spreadsheets to streaming video, this 20-inch Apple iMac model does everything you need it to. Easily work on your text documents or update your family budget with this device. Communicate with your iPhone, iPad, and other Mac devices via Facetime, or create content with iMovie and Garageband. It has a vertically mounted slot-loading DVD-R DL Superdrive, a built-in iSight camera, and two stereo speakers under the Active Matrix LCD screen. These all support multimedia projects, music listening, movie watching, and telecommunications. Apple iPhoto manages your libraries of photographs while iTunes does the same for your music collection.
