About this product
Product Information

Jaime Hernandez

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt">The 2000-P Massachusetts State Quarter is the sixth different design issued in the States Quarter Program. The coins were first released on January 03, 2000.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt">Obverse:<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt"> The obverse design features the same George Washington motif used since 1932, it's just a slightly modified modern rendition.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt">Reverse:<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt"> The reverse depicts "The Minuteman" standing in front of the state of Massachusetts outline. The Minutemen was the nomenclature given to the revolutionary farmers and colonists who assembled to fight at a minutes’ notice, if they were called upon.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt">The reverse design was chosen from 100 different designs submitted by Massachusetts elementary students. Not a rare coin by any means, but it is definitely a great design choice.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9pt">Coins in circulated grades and up to MS62 are very common and can be easily found in circulation. Coins in MS63 - MS65 take a bit of searching and can be found from bank rolls and a lot of searching from circulation. In grades of MS66 - MS67 they are considered tough but yet still obtainable raw for a small premium. In MS68, they become challenging and probably available graded, as most nice examples have been certified. In MS69, it is the ultimate grade and very few coins exist in this condition with none being finer.
