The third-person action is set in epic environments full of ferocious wild animals, unstable footing, and variable weather, and gameplay consists of exploration, puzzle solving, and a mix of brute combat and stealth attacks.<br><br>Rise of the Tomb Raider features a crafting system that lets players gather materials from plants and animals to make important items, and Croft can now interact with the environment in new ways, including climbing trees, hiding behind bushes, and swimming underwater to confuse or avoid enemies. Gamers can wield a variety of weapons and tools, including pistols, a climbing ax, a bow-and-arrow, explosives, and the new hunting knife, and tomb exploration remains a key part of the action, with Croft solving a variety of environmental puzzles in order to acquire treasures and uncover clues about the ancient city.
