Atlanta brown straw pheasant feather wide brim cartwheel hat dates from the 1940s. The hat is made of a brown woven straw covered with a brown sheer tulle net veil fabric and a variety of feathers including 2 long pheasant bird feathers. This autumn fall color large Victorian inspired picture, cartwheel hat has a round wide brim with a low small round crown and elastic chin strap underneath for securing on the head. There is a "J.P. Allen & Co. Atlanta" store label and "New York Creation" Adjustable S M tag sewn inside. The hat measures 16 inches across the brim and 15 inches inside the crown circumference. It is in good condition, with only a few bent feathers. This is truly a wonderful piece of quality made millinery wearable art.”
