Seller Notes: “This Victorian era antique embellished embroidered silk crazy quilt patchwork vest waistcoat dates ... “This Victorian era antique embellished embroidered silk crazy quilt patchwork vest waistcoat dates from the 1940s. It is hand stitched and made of a variety of colorful, print patterns silk, velvets, dress fabric remnants from the late 19th century, created from an antique embellished patchwork crazy quilt with hand stitching needlework details of embroidered figures, flowers, gavel hammer, bucket pail. This dapper gentleman's vest waistcoat is reversible, with brass buttons, bottom slit pockets on the antique 19th century patchwork quilt side and a purple, black satin 1940s fabric with mother of pearl button closures, 3 slit pockets on the reverse side. The vest measures 20 inches long, with a 38 inch chest, 32 inch waist and 10 inch back. It is in good as-is condition needing some restoration with some small frayed, shattered silk fabric pieces and faint discoloration on the purple satin fabric under the arms (see close-ups). This is truly a unique one of a kind piece of wearable”
