Seller Notes: “This vintage Art Deco purple plum velvet pleated chiffon applique trim drop waist dress dates from ... “This vintage Art Deco purple plum velvet pleated chiffon applique trim drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a purple plum color silk velvet fabric, with a purple sheer silk chiffon pleated front panel and sleeves. There are a pair of matching colorful gold metallic Art Deco embroidered applique trim hidden underneath the pleated sheer silk front panel and purple plum velvet button trim accents. This pretty purple plum dress is loose fitting, with a drop waist, pleated sheer long full balloon sleeves with fitted velvet trim cuffs, an attached belted waist, fold over collar V neckline and is unlined. The dress measures 40 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 36 inch waist, 36 inch hips, 14 inch back and 25 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only a few small frayed holes in the silk chiffon sleeve shoulder area (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of Art Deco wearable art.”
