Out of the box my neck was quite fat and had a lot of excess wood at the heel. This is a good thing because I was able to trim wood from the heel to make it fit with the body and then shave the neck to an almost Ibanez-thin profile. The fretjob was near-flawless on mine, very playable from the get go I barely needed to do anything to the frets other than some filing to round off the fret ends + polishing. Very easy to turn this chunk of maple into your dream neck with some patience and know-how.
