The lens alone is a heavy EF 400 F2.8II with 1.4X and adaptor wighing 4 Kgs without camera. The friction adjustment is not as smooth as I would have liked. But the Ball Head once locked in stays put. No creep or movement. Brand new Appears new and I mainly bought it for international travel to avoid excessive weight. This weighs just right and does the job for photgraphy stills. videos not sure.
