I expected it to be as durable as the coating on AN fittings but it does chip easily - you'll see the different pegs are chipped on the edges. And I'd assume as time goes on that will happen to the radiator itself. I think the build is good but I'd prolly buy the polished one next time. As an aside the drain plug is aluminum - id prefer a plastic plug since I've had these aluminum ones bind in the aluminum tank.
