The cob is bright but putting directly to 12 volts from your car will over heat it. As soon as it gets close to 2 amp draw it becomes very hot and that’s under 12 volts. You need a nice heat sink with a fan for sure to use it with your car battery.

Holy smokes, this thing is bright! I bought this because it has a hole in the center to allow the threaded shaft of an antique ceiling lamp to go through. The pull chain goes through that shaft. It will use a high frequency PWM power supply. We ll see if this gets me what I m looking for.
