Upon contacting the seller, they confirmed I received the correct item, but that it must have been damaged during the packaging phase. They offered a partial refund (to keep) or a full refund (to return). I opted for the latter.

Everything was packed tight and was protected with lots of bubblewrap/packing peanuts. The value was also very good, used OLED Switches in my town are scalped, but this one was priced fair and it has the limited Splatoon Print on the consoles back, joycons, and dock. 10/10 would buy from this seller again.
