Most of the squeal went away when accelerating and shifting of the transmission. It wasn't until 2003 that they had an alternator clutch pulley to avoid backlash and the squeal. However the noise is minimal when accelerating hard like say on an on ramp. It appears to be a well-made serpentine belt.
