This particular brand of perfume was my favorite perfume so I am very familiar with the scent, and what it should smell like. I asked the seller how old the perfume was and how it was stored, he told me that he had gotten the bottle from a sales rep a few years ago and it had been stored in a closet. The seller apologized and did give me a hassle free refund upon receiving the item in return.
