Eventually the seller offered a refund as well and indicated that they had intended to set their account to vacation mode. In my opinion a refund is the bare minimum expectation for causing a gift not to arrive to my nephew and is not sufficient to remedy the issue as a replace gift still needs to be purchased and will arrive late.
