This is an interesting item. I have subjected it to potentially destructive tests and it comes out cleaner. Someone spent a lot of time making this, no cheap casting of an original, but I have no idea how long ago. Whatever, as a jeweler who spends time on this stuff, I can say this was a bargain just based on the labor involved to make it. Compared to some of the pot metal castings junk I have bought.
