About this product
Product Information
Galaxies that are far, far away come much closer when you gaze at the stars through the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian telescope that offers a variety of features that make it a powerful telescope that is easy to use. Founded in 1960 by Tom Johnson, an electronics engineer, Celestron is known for redefining technology and award-winning innovation in its telescopes, as well as its excellent customer service. The Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian telescope is at the cusp of all these admirable qualities. The Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian telescope comes equipped with lenses that work for astronomical and celestial viewing, and the telescope produces detailed images of the planets, stars, and moon. The lenses have an optical design that features coated glass optics for clear, crisp images, allowing the viewer to see bright, bold, brilliant images of the sky. An additional feature is that each AstroMaster model is capable of giving correct views of land and sky, making the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian a dual-purpose telescope. The StarPointer is permanently mounted, making it easy to find constellations under various conditions. The red dot finder in the StarPointer keeps the sky right side up, matching what you see with your unaided eyes. The adjustable red dot in the StarPointer is bright enough to see day or night. Setting up the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian telescope is quick and simple with no tools required. Most people find this telescope very easy to set up, only taking about 10 minutes to set it up out of the box. The tripod on the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian telescope is sturdy and comes already assembled for ease of use with 1.25-inch steel tube legs, providing a rigid and stable platform. There is a German Equatorial reflector mount with setting circles to accurately locate and track sky objects, which is equally as sturdy and easy to set up. A deluxe accessory tray for convenient storage of accessories is included with the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian telescope. The telescope comes with 2 eyepieces providing a focal length of 10mm with a magnification of 65X and erect image 20mm with a magnification of 32.5X. Other accessories available include a night-vision flashlight, a 1.25-inch 8-24mm zoom eyepiece, and a 1.25-inch moon filter – all great for nighttime telescope viewing. Check out Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter in detail as you scan the skies, and enjoy features like a large aperture of 5.12 inches, which produces a wider field of view. Even the fuzziest items outside the solar system like nebulas, galaxies, and open star clusters come into clear view with this wide aperture. They may be light years away, but they look mere feet away when viewing through a powerful telescope such as this version of the Celestron telescopes. Interest in astronomy has always been popular, and now it’s easier than ever to check and study the skies above with this Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ/f5 Newtonian telescope. Whether new to the study of astronomy or a pro, this telescope surely won’t disappoint.
