You have to be lucky to get a working Uverse RF remote and adaptor. A good one works immediately, but a bad one fails out of the box. The defect rate on these seems to be high. This one was missing the batteries & bags found on new units, so was probably a defective return. Return process was easy. Seller was quick to ship & refund.
