Become a fearless soldier in “Star Wars: Battlefront” for Microsoft Xbox by LucasArts. Like most video games in the Battlefront series, this version is also compatible with the Xbox 360. “Star Wars: Battlefront” is a first-person shooter with a release date in 2004. While playing the game, you can virtually travel to a faraway galaxy and choose to join any Star Wars faction during battle. Available factions include the Republic Clone Army, the Separatists Battle Droids, the Imperial Army, and the Rebel Alliance. Every time you take on the gameplay, you can choose from an array of soldier avatars. Soldier types include scouts, heavy weapons, standard infantry, and pilots. Each soldier has their own unique abilities that differ from those of other soldiers. Soldiers also have access to 30 weapons including blasters, rocket launchers, and thermal detonators, and you can earn access to additional weapon choices as your character rises in rank. During gameplay, you can choose to fight for the Rebellion or the Empire. In your journey, you can choose to play as a memorable Star Wars characters, including Boba Fett, a Jedi, or Darth Vader. You'll also run into R2-D2, C-3P0, and many other popular characters. The title has an ESRB rating of T for Teen.If you choose to be a pilot, you'll have access to a wide array of vehicles. In fact, you'll get the opportunity to pilot 30 different vehicles, including the Millennium Falcon. The aerial and ground transport options in this title will be familiar to anyone who has seen the Star Wars movies. During various levels of the game, you can drive powerful equipment, including tanks, speeder bikes, and AT-STs, while battling your opponents. The massive Republic Gunship is large enough to hold five soldiers. All scenarios in Battlefront are based on the Star Wars universe. In fact, the game was designed using photogrammetry technology. This technology allowed the game's designers to bring digital replicas of movie models from the original Star Wars movie franchise right into the game. During gameplay, you can fight for control of space and freedom using the famous TIE fighters and X-Wings in aerial combats. You can also take to the skies in Conquest Mode where you can capture galaxies and gain an advantage over your opponents. In total, you can visit 12 environments across 10 planets. Battles take place on several iconic planets players will recognize from the Star Wars movies, including Endor, Hoth, Sullust, and Tatooine. Endor is a wooded moon planet and Hoth is an ice planet. New locations included in this video game are Geonosis, a ringed planet; Kamino, an ocean planet; and Yavin IV, a jungle moon. You can enjoy playing both offline and online. A multi-player option allows you to battle up to 16 other gamers online when you connect with Xbox Live. When connected to Xbox Live, you can chat with other players who are wearing headsets. In multi-player Battlefront action, the screen is split to offer everyone a detailed view of the gaming events as they unfold.
