This is a non-glossy reproduction of an originally glossy-finished illustrated button reference. I originally was concerned about the quality of the reproduction but upon checking on online scan of the original, it’s comparable. Apparently, Mr. Johnson didn’t solve the practical problem of photographing shiny buttons, some of which are convex & 3D. He did an invaluable service in trying anyhow. They print on demand so turnaround is slow, but communicated. Soft leather, not hard, as per photo.
