We have been in contact. After I won the auction and eBay confirmed it he wrote to say he would not be sending it because he "accidentally" gifted it to a friend. It was obvious he did not like getting only one bid and decided not to honor the result and stiff the buyer. In 20 years on eBay and hundreds of transactions, this is the most disappointing experience and dishonest encounter I've ever had. Buyers are bound to honor their bids. Are there no rules for unscrupulous sellers?
