The box had been opened and resealed so at first I was worried but after inspection it seems to be new. The green part was scuffed a bit. One thing I'd recommend is to ship the sewing machine box inside another box and not ship it in the sewing machine box alone. The sewing machine box was somewhat damaged in transit and I was very concerned the machine wound also be damaged.
