Digital Vs Wound= Wound Transformer (old technology) 10 to 50 years life span especially if it is powering or charging lower wattage, Example powering a 50watt halogen Vs 20 Watt Halogen. Digital can't handle the load runs hot transistors burns out, any digital equipment Heat is not their friend
