Synopsis
This book highlights the lesser known campaigns undertook by the Indian Army of undivided India during the Great War or as we know it World War I., Through the course of the centenary of the Great War, dialogue around Indian Army's involvement in various battlefields stretching from France to Gallipoli and Mesopotamia has intensified. The interested public is now more aware of India's contribution to the Great War. What is not widely known is the extent of Indian Army's involvement in other Great War and post-Great War battlefields around the world.Sepoys and Sowars of the Indian Army were involved in military actions in Macedonia and the Egyptian Western Desert, and from West Africa to China. The enemies were varied Germans, Bulgarians, Turks, enemy African Askari and Arab irregular troops, Mesopotamian insurgents, Somali, Senussi, Baluchi and Persian tribesmen, and Russian Bolsheviks who used Austrian and Hungarian former prisoners of war in their forces. But the regiments operating in these far-flung outposts of European Empires did not falter, and every campaign that they were involved in was successfully concluded or drawn to a close for political reasons. This book highlights the lesser known campaigns undertook by the Indian Army of undivided India. It is hoped that it will generate a strong sense of pride in the battlefield achievements of a generation of warriors who all volunteered to serve, wherever in the world that service took them.

I've ordered from Rarewaves here in the US and the UK multiple times, and continue to do so. They always seem to have something I can't find anywhere else at all or for a reasonable price. When I purchase used items, they are as described, if not a grade better. Aways a quick turnaround after ordering, every item arrives promptly, professionally packaged. Many orders have free shipping, even for solitary item orders. I never needed a reason to communicate, as I've had no cause. Recommended.

A wonderful ebay seller! My item arrived on time and was well packaged for its trip through the mail. The item I received was in the exact condition as in the listing. The price was perfect, including shipping. The seller was very communicative when I had a few questions. You can't go wrong ordering from rarewaves-usa!

Item arrived still wrapped as advertised but it must have taken some damage in transit since it arrived with a couple cracks and a small chunk of the frame of the case had completely detached. BUT the discs were still undamaged so I messaged the seller to tell them I was still going to keep the item I just wanted to let them know about the issue and they messaged me back and offered me 20% off the order to make up for the inconvenience. Great seller. Would purchase from them again.
