The films include: SON OF KONG (1933) and MIGHTY JOE YOUNG (1949) (each directed by Ernest B. Schoedsack and featuring effects from the team that created 1933's King Kong), the cinematic adaptation of Ray Bradbury's THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS (1953, directed by Eugene Lourie) and the Gordon Douglas-directed THEM! (1954), which received an Academy Award nomination for its use of special effects.
