2017 release, the first installment in the rapper's new album series. Albert Johnson AKA Prodigy, has been a staple in the entertainment industry since his debut in 1993 as an integral part in undeniably one of the greatest hip hop groups to date, the legendary Mobb Deep. Prodigy's verbal ability took center stage early in the original cult classic, 'The Infamous,' but little did the world know that we were merely indulging in delicious appetizers delivered. Generally acknowledged as the more lyrically gifted member of New York hardcore rap duo Mobb Deep, Prodigy was born with a strong musical background. His grandfather, Budd Johnson and his great-uncle Keg Johnson are remembered for their contributions to the jazz bebop era. His mother, Fatima Johnson, was a member of 60s R&B group, the Crystals.
