Strap yourself in for some dangerous racing in Acclaim's Burnout, an arcade-style driving game featuring risky runs and realistic collision damage. The game's AI causes pedestrians and bystanders to try to get out of the way on the crowded thoroughfares, while opponent racers attempt to maneuver the player out of position (and off the road altogether, if possible). A total of 14 busy courses are available, set in real-world locations in the U.S. and Europe. Drivers are challenged with more than just finding the lines and handling the turns, as Burnout races take place on public streets and highways that are full of other vehicles, changing traffic patterns are often a factor as the player races toward the finish.
